The United States Equestrian Federation (US Equestrian) serves as the National Governing Body (NGB) of equestrian sport in the United States. As the NGB, US Equestrian is recognized by the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC), the sole governing body responsible for approving all athletes representing Team USA in Olympic, Paralympic, Pan American, Parapan American and Youth Olympic Games. 

As a sport governing body and organization, US Equestrian is responsible for a variety of regulatory and sanctioning functions that help define equestrian sport as a whole in the U.S. Serving as guardians of the sport and dedicated to a level playing field, US Equestrian pursues excellence and growth and selects and trains Olympic level athletes for the highest level of competition. 

In order to inspire others to become involved, US Equestrian also works closely with our 29 breeds and disciplines to educate, develop, license, and market equestrian sport in the United States.
