Safe Sport Directory

USEF’s Safe Sport Directory provides a searchable list of individuals who either voluntarily or by requirement have successfully completed the USEF Background Check Screening and/or the U.S. Center for SafeSport’s training course as required under the USEF Safe Sport Policy. Inclusion on this list does not imply any endorsement of the individual nor does it represent that the individual has the requisite technical skills to provide particular services. It simply indicates that the person has successfully completed the criminal background screen and/or the Safe Sport training, and that such is valid until the expiration date indicated by their name.

USEF’s Safe Sport Policy requires individuals in certain roles to successfully pass a criminal background screening and take approved Safe Sport Training. USEF continues to expand the requirements to others as a legitimate business necessity to further its mission.

Criminal background screenings and Safe Sport Training are required in order to help:

  • Ensure a safe, secure, and fun environment for participants to compete and continue to develop and enhance their skills.
  • Provide parents and legal guardians with a sense of security for their children.
  • Prevent individuals with ill intentions from becoming involved with its programming.

Criminal Background Screening is designed as a preventative measure. It is not a guarantee against incidents of inappropriate behavior or criminal activity. The USEF encourages parents and legal guardians to play an active role in their child’s development, both in and out-of-competition, to ensure their well-being. To this end, through its partnership with the U.S. Center for SafeSport, USEF offers a Safe Sport training video specifically designed for parents, and parent toolkits.
